After much deliberation, it has been decided that photos of Osama Bin Laden’s dead body will not be released by the US government. For those who wanted proof that Bin Laden was dead, they are just going to have to take Obama’s word on this.
However, would a photo really make a difference? The average Joe Blogs can manipulate a photo on Photoshop so how would the public know that any images released were real images. Would they even be able to identify the man through a photo?
They US may have done everyone a favour here by not releasing these images. It is not a Rambo movie but real life and his death does not need to be a spectator sport that encounters the world gauping at his dead body.
For those who are sceptical about his death and need photographic evidence, it wouldn’t be surprising that at some stage in the near future they will be Wikileaked out.
