If you are looking for a light hearted read that gives insight into the world of GP’s, Benjamin Daniels’ book, Confessions of a GP is worth a read.
It is funny, witty, charming, shocking, painful, cringeworthy and most of all an easy read.
As I read this book, I imagined Daniels at the dinner table with me telling me about his days, sharing his frustration, sadness, happiness and confusion. Chapters ranged from NHS targets to hypocondriacs, from victims of the common cold to cancer patients, from renal failure to wet dreamers. You’ll be amazed at what people go to see the Doctor with.
A great little Christmas gift.
