Wow! Innovative, inspiring, celebratory, surreal, humorous, the words go on….

Danny Boyle’s imagination and story telling of British history was spectacular. The music throughout was exceptional and the phenomenal use of multimedia made it suitable for a television audience as well as for those that were there.

Highlights for me were the changing scene from countryside to industrial Britain, James Bond and the Queen arriving, Mr Bean and Chariots of Fire, digital age music and dance and of course the lighting of the flame.

The Olympic Ceremony was watched by a billion people last night. We wondered if we could top Beijing, for me we did. We did something totally different.
