H & M the fast fashion, budget clothing retail giant announced a global recycling initiative in order to reduce its negative impact on the planet. The company explained that through this initiative, H&M’s customers can help to save natural resources and contribute to reduced environmental impact by avoiding textile waste.
Customers that participate in the recycling programme will be offered a 15% discount on one item of their choice in a subsequent purchase. Not bad!
I’m not a huge fan of polyester or man-made fibres but I applaud the retailer’s initiative and that the company has decided to launch the initiative on such a grand scale in all 48 of its markets.
