Anju Modi really pushed the boat out with her collection entitled Steel Magnolia. Strong women was the message she wanted to get across and to emphasise the point her designs had a strong military reference. Questioned about this and some of the patriotic soundtrack, Anju Modi insisted the inspiration was not the Indian Army itself.
The looks were striking and luxurious. Anju Modi always promotes Indian craft such as weaving and block printing.

My particular favourites were the embroidered tweed styles. Sarees pose the most difficult challenge to staying warm and stylish over Winter, however, Anju Modi showed excellent and flattering long tweed coats with slits so as not to restrict the movement of the saree.
