Kavita Bhartia is the owner of the Ogaan chain of boutiques with stores in Delhi and Mumbai. Kavita started her own label in 2001.
The collection she presented this season was entitled ‘Hypercraft’ to reflect her combining technology and craft for her designs.
Geometrical motifs featured strongly in her designs and zingy colours like mist green and plaster pinks followed a striking monochrome entry.
Boxy and easy-to-wear sillhouettes completed the retro feel to the collection.
Colonial Orient and Japanese influences inspired designer Kiran Uttam Chosh’s Autums/Winter collection.
Using muted background colours and using decayed old gold embellishments she managed to add a soft feminine touch to her sharp tailored masculine shapes.
The second designer of the week to reference the military, Kiran Uttam Ghosh’s design were, however, more subtle. Adept at layering, the designer showed her skills with colour.
