The Wedding of Weddings

Elizabeth Taylor’s very first wedding dress sold at auction this week for a whopping £122,000.  This dress, worn by an 18 year old Elizabeth for her marriage to Conrad ‘Nicky’ Hilton Junior, is a classic Cinderella gown and shows off her teeny tiny waist to perfection.

Fond of lovers, divorce and marriage… as lovely as this gown is, Liz Taylor’s subsequent choices for her other 7 marriages were bolder and showed a confident bride.

This yellow outfit is one of my favourites.

Imagine having so much spare cash that you can buy an old wedding dress for that amount of money.

I hope it has found a happy home.
