Quintessential British heritage brand, Penhaligon’s, is launching a new Eau de Parfum on Monday called Vaara, inspired by the Royal House of Marwar-Jodphur in Rajasthan. The scent came about after His Highness Maharaja Gaj Singh II desired a scent to commemorate the birth of his granddaughter, Vaara (as one does).
Created by Master Perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour, the fragrance includes notes of quince, rosewater, saffron, Moroccan rose absolute, Bulgarian rose oil, Indian magnolia, peony and iris, honey, white musk, cedarwood, sandalwood, tonka bean and much more. It sounds heavenly and what a nice gesture and good bit of news about an Indian celebration of a little girl. My grandfather used to say that girls bring sunshine and laughter into a family and now sweet scents too!

P.S. Penhaligon’s have a 50% sale on just now.
