Celebrating 25 years as a designer, Kavita Bhartia showed a retrospective of her designs with a collection that cemented her place as a veteran designer. The collection wasn’t so much a celebration of her greatest hit as it was a big cheers to the future. Beautifully crafted in flattering silhouettes and tones, her Ogaan stores might just have to take a bit more rail space from the other designers she stocks.

The collection was essentially inspired by the 18th century tapestries from the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Encompassing her chic and minimalistic silhouettes, she made the inspiration her own with her expert balance of decoration and minimalism. Some Indian designers find it hard to decide when to stop embellishing, this could not be said of Ms Bhartia.
