International Woolmark prize winner, Rahul Mishra has his Indian couture debut yesterday. His collection was aimed at the contemporising the bridal trousseau for the busy, multi-tasking, modern woman/bride and was inspired by the tree of life.

This was a strong debut and Rahul Mishra stayed true to his Slow Fashion beliefs, couture clients are more suitable and understanding of the time it takes to weave fabrics by hand and so on.

Inspired by centuries old Chintz textiles, the collection was modernised with sexy sheer panels and lean silhouettes.
