They’re Just Not Funny!

Have you noticed the lack of funny Asians lately?  Before you whip up the comments about the fabulous Goodness Gracious Me, may I remind you that it was written in 1996.  Nineteen ninety-six!  Asian stand-ups are uninspiring, I haven’t heard of anyone funny in ages.

Asian Provocateurs

New comic duo, Yasmeen Khan and Sajeela Kershi  as Asian Provocateurs are finalists in the New Act of the Year competition, held at the Barbican London, this Saturday 19th March.

Regarded as the Asian French and Saunders, a rather big duo to live up to, their sketches include media spoofs, original characters and rather large dose of cross cultural references.

I wish them the best of luck as it is great to celebrate British Asian women and British Asian comedy.
