Happy St Patrick’s Day…

guinness
… and Guinness we salute you!
Guinness has pulled its sponsorship of the New York City Parade (huge given the Irish population there) because gay and lesbian groups were banned.
A socialist at heart I am always cynical of every big corporate’s moves as being ultimately about marketing but I will give credit to Guinness here, well done for pulling out of an event that is supposed to celebrate

The New Beauty

ThandieKayAboutUs800PX1

Not just about makeup, British actor Thandie Newton and her friend Kay Montano, a makeup artist, have just launched a new website celebrating beauty in its diversity.  ThandieKay covers makeup tutorials and interviews with amazingly talented women in the same friendly, chatty tone.  Lilac eyes? Watch out ladies!… you are now going to be penalised for being better drivers than men.

We have enjoyed lower insurance prices for many years and the now men have come fighting back, throwing gender discrimination in our faces.

The ECJ have ruled that gender discrimination cannot happen when pricing insurance. Must have been a man p***ed off with having to pay more than his wife, daughter, girlfriend etc…

Statistics show that women are lower risk drivers. Pricing insurance has to be performance related and surely women will be rewarded in the end for being better drivers!
