One Of My Best Friends Is Gay!

The historian, Niall Ferguson, made a comment about the economist Keynes that quite frankly made him sound like a pompous prat! But he IS a pompous prat!  It’s such a pity that he fits the stereotype of up-his-own-arse academic but he does!

He said Keynes wouldn’t have cared much about the future as he was gay and didn’t have any children.

Who Are You Calling Fag Hag?

If a woman has friends that are gay and enjoys spending time with them, why is she given a title of Fag Hag?  If I hang out with my straight friends or girlfriends it wouldn’t warrant notice so I take issue with the difference being pointed out amongst gay men.

Two Mummies

Dear Diary,

On a day out in Haggerston Park, in Shoreditch, my four year old daughter was asked by another toddler where her daddy was. Before my daughter had the chance to reply, the toddler’s mother said in a very matter of fact way, “no darling, she has two mumies”.

Man Camp

The Malaysian government initiated a counselling course of de-programming ‘gay’ or camp behaviour in teenage boys (13 – 17yrs) as identified by their teachers.  This is in order to set on them on the right path early in life by taking religious and motivational classes and physical guidance.

Pretty outrageous really, especially as I think it’s lovely that I am from a culture where masculinity is not black and white or indeed gay or straight.
