Paralympic Boos And Snubs

Week 2, Day 2 and controversy overshadows the awesome Paralympics. First, there is the booing of George Osborne as he presented medals, secondly there was the alleged “snubbing” of Duchess Catherine, and thirdly and the most abhorrent was the attack on military guards at the Olympics.

The Olympics is supposed to be A-political. It is an event to celebrate the achievements of the greatest athletes regardless of creed or colour. Sorry for the sermon, but I feel slightly agitated.

The Royal Wedding

With just over a week to go, people in London are talking about the Royal Wedding. At the hairdressers today, Kate and Wills were a part of everyone’s conversation. “What are you doing?”, “Are you watching it?”, “Have you seen her dress” etc… One customer was discussing the street party they have organised.

Whether you are a royalist or not, the Royal Wedding is a topic of conversation. So what will you be doing? Are you interested? Are you going to get away and escape the Royal madness?

The Curse Of The Stamp

The design of the Royal wedding stamp has a perforation line down the middle so that the stamp can be split and used individually, suggesting that the couple can be easily separated.
