I visited a friend in Delhi today who has just given birth and, being British, found the differences in procedures and norms quite fascinating. My dear friend was in a private hospital and is recovering well, however, when I arrived at the hospital I wasn’t allowed to take in the flowers I had just spend an hour selecting and directing how the arrangement should be done and when I walked into her room, NO BABY!

I heard today that Victoria Beckham (Posh) spent $50,000 on the nursery for her unborn baby girl. I was rather intrigued to find out what made up this overly expensive nursery and then learnt that she bought a changing table worth £1,584 to be exact and a wardrobe worth nearly £7k.

Dear Diary,
My youngest of two girls started her settling in week at nursery last week and WOW! I don’t remember this anxiety and fear when my eldest daughter went to nursery.
