Please Plug the Gap

The Chancellor, George Osborne has entered the tax dodging debate by declaring cash payments to plumbers and the type ‘morally wrong’.  He has some cheek as both the coalition and previous governments have fallen over themselves to help create and encourage the system whereby the rich pay hardly any tax at all.

Happy Birthday Private Eye!

If you’re not familiar with this fabulous rag, let me introduce you to one of Britain’s most amazing fortnightly satirical magazine on Britain’s current affairs.  On occassion the Private Eye seems like the UK’s only independent news reporting the story behind the story and in between the lines.

With every issue that comes through my letterbox I laugh out loud at the articles and cartoons, especially ‘supermodels’ and am shocked and angered

Amir Khan, Prada Model

The inside cover of The Daily Telegraph’s Saturday Magazine was a Prada sunglasses advertisement featuring Amir Khan.  No, not the age-denying old grandpa from Bollywood but the Super Lightweight World Boxing Champ.

Although I’m not a fan of boxing I think it’s refreshing to see recognition of young British Asian talent.  Amir Khan famously commented
