New York Fashion Week today kicked off the fashion feast that lies ahead and engulfs the world.  Displaying next Autumn/Winter’s collections while it’s still freezing outside will only make you want to buy everything now, however, wait we will.

Red Valentino was by far the most striking collection on the first day.  Aimed at a younger audience than the premium and couture Valentino collections

I know I already covered the Valentino exhibition, however, I went to see it last week and had to report back!  Did I have 2-3 hours spare in my last day in London before flying to Delhi? Of course not, but I still went to the Valentino exhibition regardless and it was just excellent.

The Gold, The Bad and The Ugly

It’s Met Ball time yay!  I’m sure it’s great fun actually being there but since most of us weren’t why don’t we all pour over the fashion instead?  I’ve picked some of my favourites – when they’re good they’re really really good but when they’re bad… they’re shocking!  First up, the lovely hostess:

Vintage: Stylish or Stinky?

The world’s biggest vintage fair (probably unsubstantiated, just like the world’s favourite airline claim) is currently taking place in Manhattan.

I do love vintage pieces but some of the shops do stink of vintage sweat, especially on a rainy day.  Going to vintage shops is like being on a treasure hunt, most days you won’t find anything you like and then you will find perfection.
