Nude was the predominant colour on display at Armani Privé. Brushing aside the fashion industry’s heated discussion, I think last year, about the colour description of nude after Michelle Obama wore it, it is a colour that Giorgio Armani excels in. Mr Armani can’t have failed to notice that Planet Hollywood is the biggest buyer of nude dresses and doubtless many a starlet will be making Privé appointments after couture week.
Sheer fabrics and indulgent flamboyant detailing managed to remain elegant. Ostrich feathers are a personal favourite of mine I can get enough and there were plenty in this collection. Giorgio Armani is the master of Italian minimalism and his signature day wear looks expensive and luxurious without being flashy.
If you’re a fan of wide leg pants, Armani’s are for the true connoisseur (although I recommend Gianfranco Ferre wide leg pants too!).
