Wow!
So much beauty, luxury, indulgence, fashion and history all in the most stunning historic Mughal ruins in one of Delhi’s top tourist sites, Rohit Bal raised the bar to tremendous heights for Indian fashion. Even the moon and the weather obeyed the designer’s ode to beauty. The moon shone brightly to the right of one of the tombs at Qutab Minar and the outdoor temperature dropped from Sweaty to Serene.

Regular Chatterboxes know I am a real sucker for Sufi poetry and I was delighted to find that designer, Nikasha had a Rumi poem in her show notes:
In your light I learn how to love…
In your beauty how to make poems
You dance inside my chest where no one else sees you,
but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art.

WIFW Designer: Anupamaa
Internationally acclaimed fashion designer, Anupama Dayaal kicked off Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring/Summer14 with an explosion of colour and bold prints. Some collections could be viewed as transcending seasons, however, Anupamaa’s screamed SUNSHINE. Bright pinks, orange and yellow tones worn with tousled hair and beach foot accessories completed the looks.
Madonna, Kylie, Pink Floyd, New Kids, Daft Punk, Metallica, Asha Bhosle and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan are all happily lying in my ipod’s music library albeit in different playlists! Who is is this last chap, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan aka RFAK aka The Voice From Heaven?

I just finished reading The Forty Rules of Love by Elif Shafak. The author is one of the high profile names that participated in this year’s Asia House Festival of Asian Literature.
This is the first book I have read by Elif Shafak and I was drawn to it as I read the back cover and saw three words: Sufi, Rumi and Shams…sold!! This book is like Kryptonite for my sister full of spirituality and love.
Heralded as one of the finest hotels in Asia, the Imperial Hotel is one of my favourite relaxing destinations in Delhi. It is the ultimate in refined and understated luxury.
The stunning Mughal inspired spa at the Imperial Hotel is called Sufi. Two weeks ago on International Women’s Day I was invited to the launch of the Imperial Hotel’s exclusive Sufi botanical and organic skin care range. Last year saw the launch of the divine Sufi eau de toilette and essential oils and now skincare…the brand is taking more and more space on my bathroom shelf!
I have been using three products from the new range (Daylight Moisturizer, Downpore Cleanser and Night Rose Moisturizer) for two weeks and highly recommend them.
